Our Outreach Ministry Mission Statement

Our Mission:

The people of the First United Methodist Church in Beggs have a vision that all God’s children have what they need to thrive in Beggs, Oklahoma. We, the people of the United Methodist Church, therefore, commit ourselves and our love in Christ to serve the people of Beggs with low/no cost clothing, housewares,and emergency food items to people in our community who find themselves in need. All proceeds will continue Christ’s Mission to usher in the Kingdom of God here and now. May God bless the people of Beggs!

Our Thrift Store / Community Closet is open on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays of every month (excluding December)  from 11AM to 2PM. Emergency Food Pantry access is available on Wednesdays by appointment only. Please call (918) 508-0766 and leave your  name and phone number 

Come in and shop our huge selection of clothes, shoes and housewares. Donations are used to support our mission to feed and clothe our neighbors in need. 

If you are a Beggs resident in need of nutritional assistance, please ask one of our volunteers and we will serve you. You may visit our pantry one time per month. You will be asked to provide proof of a Beggs residence and to fill out a simple information card for the Pantry to keep on file.

You may be contacted by telephone from time to time when we receive perishable donations so that we may offer these items to you as well.

Our pantry is 100% donation based therefore certain items may be limited during your visit.
