A report has been compiled showing the impact our Food Pantry has had on the Beggs Community. This report shows that during the year 2024, we served 70 households which helped 182 individuals ranging in age from infants to the most senior of adults !
We are striving to make new connections with various agencies so that we may improve and expand our services and therefore be of better to service to those in need. Keep checking back here for new announcements.
We are continuing our fund raising efforts to help with the repairs needed for our almost 100 year old building. We have several issues to address which will require more funds than we have available.
Our Brick Sale is still ongoing and should the Spirit move you, you can purchase a commemorative brick at the website below. As a part of this ongoing effort, we are offering you the opportunity to order commemorative bricks which will become a permanent part of the church campus. Everyone is invited to buy a brick, either for you, your family or for someone else, to commemorate a special occasion, or to honor or memorialize a loved one.
Bricks can have your name, or a personal message engraved, and will be laid in a memorial area on the church grounds. You will be able to leave a permanent legacy at Beggs United Methodist Church for future generations to enjoy. What a great way to be remembered while also helping us complete our much needed repairs !
If you'd rather make a donation directly to the church please make checks payable to "Beggs FUMC" and write "BUILDING FUND" on the memo line. Please send your direct donation to the church address below. Our goal is to sell 50 bricks during the 2025 year. We pray that he Holy Spirit inspires you to assist in our fund raising efforts.
You can go to WWW.BRICKSRUS.COM/DONORSITE/FUMCBEGGS to purchase your brick !

An engineering form has looked at our narthex and has determined that it is not quite as bad as we initially feared. While the solution will still be expensive, the amount of demolition required is considerably less than we expected. We are starting the process of getting rough estimates now so that we can set our target goal. It will still be a lofty goal but we know God will guide, support and provide for us by inspiring people like you to help us.
More information to come soon. In the mean time please feel free to make whatever monetary donation you deem appropriate to our restoration fund. See below for information about where to send you check.

The narthex of our church has deteriorated to the point where we are unable to repair it without some major rebuilding. With every rain that falls a little more damage occurs. In spite of our best heartfelt efforts, with the support of your donations, we have come to the point where our 94 year old church needs much more than "bandaging". We are committed to doing whatever it takes to keep our church building something we can take pride in. Therefore, all other restoration projects have been put on hold until we can resolve this problem.
The Board of Trustees are currently engaged with several engineering/construction companies to find the best solution to this problem .... but we are starting our fund raising campaign now. When a decision has been reached as to the scope and cost of the repairs we will post an update here and on our Facebook page to notify everyone of the plan and our goals.
Should you feel so compelled, please send donations to help with the continuing restoration to:
Beggs FUMC
P.O. Box 516
Beggs OK 74421
Please note on your check that it is for the Restoration Fund.
